3 Years, 3 Logos, 1 Geek

It's been three years since I came up with the Dr. Suess inspired name for my new web design firm, Geeks on the Beach.

In that time, the company has evolved; and so has our website mascot/logo - The Beach Geek.

Took a look at the Parksville Chamber analytics. August visitors using IE6 now down to 2.6%. This time last year: 8.4% Can I get an "Amen!"?

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

The myth of the lone website developer coding away in solitude couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is, the Beach Geek owes both his gratitude and his livelihood to the tens - even hundreds - of thousands of like-minded geeks that contribute their time and talent to open-source projects like Joomla, Drupal, and Wordpress, just to name a few.

It is through their hard work that we're able to make beautiful websites look easy.
